A global shipping company is born
In 2013, an idea floating around in the mind of a visionary young man who had just graduated high school was to establish the first freight forwarding company in Afghanistan. By June of that year, a comprehensive business plan was ready, and the name “Afra Cargo” was chosen for the company. He started this business from nothing, with no funds and no investments. Just a 30,000 AFN/400 USD loan from relatives. - 2013
A clear mission
He tasked himself with an ambitious mission to launch a freight forwarding company that provides shipping solutions with global standards, can compete in the international market, and provides the best shipping solutions to the Afghan Market. - 2014Feb 2014
First secured shipment
In February 2014, the first-ever Afra Cargo shipment was secured from an Afghan carpets manufacturing company. The shipment weighed 1563 kg, and its destination was Milan, Italy. - 2015
Our first official partnership
Our first partnership was with DHL Afghanistan; we became the first official forwarder of DHL in early 2015 and provided DHL with a business of over five tons weekly. After that, Afra Cargo secured a partnership with other industry-leading airlines nationally and internationally such as Turkish Airlines, Fly Dubai, Air France KLM, British Airways, Kam Air, United Airlines, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, Air China and many more. We were working directly/indirectly with all the mentioned airlines and more. - 2016
The launch of our facilities
Afra Cargo officially launched its warehousing facility in Kabul in early 2016 under the supervision of industry experts for security checks and quality control reasons. - 2016

Our official website was also launched in April 2016, making us the first and only shipping company in Afghanistan with an official website and state-of-the-art tracking system our commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation grew with us as we grew. - 2017
Our first award-winning year

The year started getting recognized globally
2018 was the year that Afra got the recognition it deserved. Our services were so good that we received free marketing from our clients. They recommended us to so many other individuals and businesses that sometimes it got hard to manage. - 2019
Securing big contracts
Afra became the prime contractor of 119 Afghan businesses in 2019. Businesses were growing and trying to explore new markets globally, and Afra would suggest the best shipping solutions, usually even less costly than the airlines that were active at the time in Afghanistan. - 2020
The year that Covid hit
In early 2020, Covid had finally found its way to Afghanistan. Every company was shut down, but not us. After passing various health security protocols, we were the only active company in Afghanistan. We provided our services to Afghan individuals and national and international businesses inside Afghanistan after carefully complying with all the health protocols advised by the Health Ministry of Afghanistan. - 2021
The political regime changed in Afghanistan.
Although Afghanistan’s political regime had been renewed, Afra was still trying to keep up with customer demands. Fortunately, we succeeded and moved over 200 tons of cargo in 2021. - 2022
Looking for new solutions
Afra Cargo looked for various shipping solutions to replace the Air-to-Air shipping solution. Thus, our experts created the first Land-to-Air route for Afghan Businesses. For the individuals, however, we figured out a route from Dubai to all over the world. - 2023
